Important Preschool Information

  1. No uniform required. Play clothes are a must! Please make sure that your child is wearing shoes that are appropriate for running, climbing, and jumping. If your child is wearing sandals, they need to be closed toe sandals, no flip flops or other shoes that do not have a back strap or that can fall off easily.
  2. Drop off time for the Pre K classes is at 7:50 AM. Both classrooms will use the back door of the Pre K building. Please do not buzz to be let in. We will unlock the door at 7:50 AM. All students should arrive by 8:00 AM. Pick up time is promptly at 2:00 PM. We dismiss from the playscape as long as the weather is permitting.
  3. Parents must park in the parking lot behind the elementary school for drop off and dismissal.
  4. Please label all of your child’s belongings. This includes rest towel, coat, lunch box, and backpack.
  5. Please be aware of the amount of food that you pack for your child’s lunch. Students only have 30 minutes to eat. We suggest one main item, like a sandwich or salad, something crunchy, like pretzels or crackers, and one dairy or fruit, like a yogurt, cheese stick, or fruit. All Pre K children need to bring a cold lunch.
  6. If you are able to send in Clorox/Lysol wipes and paper towel rolls, that would be great! Students do not need to bring in any supplies, the preschool will provide.
  7. Students need to bring in a healthy snack for morning snack time each day. Please send it in a labeled brown paper bag. We provide 100% juice with snack.
  8. We will provide your child with a communication folder. The folder will go back and forth from school to home daily. We will check the folders upon arrival for parent notes. Please check your child’s folder daily for important school information.
  9. Children will rest daily. They are not required to sleep, but do need to rest their bodies. Please send in a labeled beach towel for rest time. Rest towels will be sent home every other week to be washed and returned to school.
  10. We welcome parents to visit at any time. We also welcome parents to share their special talents they may have with our class (artists, musicians, crafters, storytellers….)
  11. Please be aware of children with allergies in the classroom. When bringing in treats, please check with Mrs. Romani or Miss Browning first. Thanks!
  12. Field Trip planning is in the works. We will be looking for chaperones. In order to chaperone, you must fill out a CORI form in the main office and have Mrs. Schweitzer, the Administrative Assistant, make a photo copy of your license. We suggest filling this out at the beginning of the year so that it is all set.
  13. Children will wash their hands upon arrival. This will help with the spread of germs.
  14. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please send in a note, write an email, or give us a call.
